Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

I went to a meeting at the beautiful Coeur d'Alene Resort. The board room we were in for two days straight had a wall of windows overlooking the lake. All during our board meetings, we could see a float plane out on the lake, give rides to tourists. We decided that after our meetings were finished, we were going to ride the float plane as well.

This is a picture of the hotel in the background. It is so beautiful, being right on the lake like that.

The hotel is also home to the world's only floating golf green. Apparently, people come from all over to golf on this course. If you make it on to the green, you have to take a boat out there. The green can also be moved anywhere in that roped off section; so one day, it might be 180 feet away and the next, it could be closer, or further. Too bad I'm not a golfer!

A view of the lake from the plane.

A view of Lake Pend Oreille, which is about 30 miles or so from Coeur d'Alene. Note how different the shore lines are between the two lakes, one is so steep.
