Cold Stone with Codey

Here is the philosophy of enjoying an ice-cold treat from an almost-fifteen-year-old: Get the biggest size ice cream and the smallest spoon so it will last longer. Can't argue with that.

Sushi Dinner with the Albretsens

We went to Simply Sushi in Salt Lake City for dinner with the Albretsens. There is a sushi chef there named Danny and he is amazing. He likes to send over special creations that he makes that aren't on the menu. Here are the two special rolls we got.

I love that the roll shown above was all rectangles; the green on top was lettuce.
Too bad the colors didn't photograph as bright as they were in person!

Cross Training at Work

I decided to step outside my comfort zone and do something I have never done before: work with a technician from the HVAC/R shop. I figured it would be nice to know the type of work they do. I changed the 60 filters shown in the photo above (and installed the filters in a perfect checkerboard pattern, I might add) and greased something on the something shown in the photo below. I forgot what it is but I'm thinking a fan motor maybe? Anyway, it was an interesting experience, I had no idea there was a place on campus that had an entire wall of filters; I kind of thought it would just be like changing the filter at my house.

My mom in Alaska

My mom and dad went to Alaska for vacation and the place where they were staying had a web cam so my mom went out there and stood in front of the camera and called me to see if I could see her. It was so small and hard to see, but we enjoyed trying it out. There was a bit of a time delay, too. I took this picture of my computer screen so I could show her how hard it was to see her.

I Love These Little Cars

I love these little Smart Cars and it cracks me up they can park them two to a stall. I saw them parked this way the last time I had my oil changed and regretted not taking a photo so when I needed to get my oil changed again, I made sure to snap a photo. For some reason, they just make me smile.
