Oahu's North Shore

This is a picture of Shark's Cove on the north shore of Oahu where we love to snorkel in the summer.



Clearly, we wouldn't be snorkeling there during this winter trip.



This picture cracks me up. The sign says not to go beyond this point and yet there are two people out there. This was taken at Waimea beach on the north shore and the waves were big.



While at Waimea, we happened upon the film set for the movie Soul Surfer starring Carrie Underwood as that girl who lost her arm in a shark attack while surfing. We also saw that girl, although none of us can remember her name. We took a photo of Codey standing in front of the movie set so I guess now he can say he's been in the movies.




This is one of the big waves on the north shore and there is a surfer in the photo. Do you see that small speck out there? I think it puts in perspective just how big the waves were. The surfer's in the white, about a 1/4 of the way in from the left.
