CCI Fundraiser

My nephew Ashton had a great idea to raise money for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), an organization that provides service dogs for people in need. This is Ashton with one of his favorite puppies-in-training, Cara.

We decided to have a yard sale and donate 100% of the proceeds to CCI. We raised over $1100 in just four short hours and we had a lot of fun in the process. So many people donated items for the sale and so many generous shoppers gave us top dollar for our items (some examples: one person gave $13 for a used book and another gave $20 for six used glasses). People are SO generous! Grounds for Coffee was nice enough to let us have our yard sale at their store on Harrison Blvd. Support them, they are awesome!

This is one of my other nephews Brendon. He worked so hard at the yard sale. He's shown here with another puppy-in-training, Stacy.
