It turned out to be an incredibly fun activity for a teenage boy to do on vacation. Codey was always on the lookout for a great photo opportunity. Like this one, trying to get Stitch's photo with this swan (is it a swan? a goose? I don't know my waterfowl), who made a lot of noise any time Codey got near. This was as close as Codey dared to get.
There are roosters and chickens EVERYWHERE on Kauai. Apparently they don't like to have their photos taken with little plastic figurines either. This is as close as Codey could get.
The added benefit to taking photos with Stitch? Codey let us take his picture as well! Usually, he hides from the camera or makes a silly face so you can never get a good photo of him.
A silly face like this one.
And Stitch even made having to do homework while on vacation fun.
Here's Stitch on the balcony railing, overlooking the pool at the hotel on Kauai.
The lobby of our hotel on Kauai had this beautiful outrigger canoe in the middle of it. We just couldn't resist getting Stitch's photo on it. Codey was very quick and stealth-like as we walked up to pose Stitch.
Codey also enjoyed boulder-hopping through the ponds to get a picture of Stitch next to the names of our hotels. Here he is on Kauai.
And on Oahu.
Codey found a hollowed out half of a coconut shell on the beach and quickly decided it would be perfect as a boat for Stitch.
Does it float? Of course!
This is one of my favorite Stitch photos. Here he is with a statue of Duke, the famous surfer. I like it because Stitch's are outstretched just like Duke's. If only we'd been able to fashion a mini lei for Stitch.....
Here's Stitch returning from a kayak trip with Chris.
From the balcony of our room on Kaui, overlooking the ocean.
Another shot of Stitch overlooking Waimea Bay on the North Shore of Oahu.
Codey found some Stitch-sized surfboards in a shop in Haleiwa on Oahu. What do you think the people in the store thought of us?
Here's Stitch in the car, driving to the North Shore of Oahu. Look at that beautiful ocean in the distance.
Stitch on the beach outside of our hotel on Oahu.
We had so much fun with this and I bet any kid would as well. I highly recommend it!

This is a great idea! And you actually got photos of Codey. I will have to remember this the next time we take a trip.
Oh, how gorgeous! A trip to Hawaii sounds like the perfect end to winter.
I love the Stitch idea--like the garden gnome--too funny!
